If You Need Help with Expenses in 2019

If you have low income and/or limited assets, you may qualify for help from a variety of programs.

For example, Pennsylvania's prescription assistance programs may be able to help with premiums for prescription drug plans or out-of-pocket expenses. The federal government provides Extra Help (also known as the Low Income Subsidy) with some or all prescription drug coverage costs, including monthly premiums, deductibles, copays and coinsurance. An estimated one out of three Medicare beneficiaries qualifies for some level of Extra Help.

If you get Extra Help to help pay for your Medicare prescription drug plan costs, your monthly plan premium may be lower than what it would be if you did not get Extra Help (depending on your plan choice). The amount of Extra Help you get will determine your total monthly plan premium as a member of our plan.

The tables below show you what your monthly plan premium will be if you get Extra Help.

Your level of Extra Help

*This does not include any Medicare Part B premium you may have to pay.

The premium for Health Partners Medicare Prime and Special includes coverage for both medical services and prescription drugs.
